Trip to the museum

Today the year 5’s went on a trip to the museum and it was so hot so me and Toni went and wet our hair at the water felton.



What was my favorite part at the museum when we get go to the minecraft thing and it looks like you are in it. And it was so cool playing it inside the game and what is my other favorite part was when. We saw real scorpion but it was.Dead in a frame and what I learn’t about what do flies do to our food if they're on it? and what they do is they is they spit on it so that is what I learn’t at the museum.And we get to got to the orangutan house but it was fake.


I really enjoyed going to the museum because it was very fun there and we saw goldfish in the river.

Ambassador Application

Malo e lelei my name is Kosini I am 10 years old and I would like to be an Ambassador for 2016. I think I would be the best person for this job. I am always at school, I work hard to complete all my tasks and I am helpful to others. One of the things that I do well is share my follow ups into my blog so that other people can see it.

One thing that I’ve have learned about this year is native animals

in New Zealand trying to survive in different countries. Like a kiwi trying to survive in a very hot country like the desert with no food. And another fact about a kiwi is that they a nocturnal and what nocturnal mean is animal that comes at night and look for food and it sleeps in the afternoon.

If I became an ambassador I would be confident to say a speech in front of the visitors and make my family proud. I would also like to be an ambassador like my sister Sela, she was an Ambassador in 2013 and I would like be to a role model like her.

T4 Exponents Activity W4


Walt: Solve division problems using multiplication facts or division in parts strategy
What I learn't was division and we had to solve in our books and show how we got it and I will show what learn't and it is 84 divided by six equals and it is 14 because six times ten equal 60 then I did six times 4 equals 24 then I add them altogether then it made 84 and that's how I got.

Eat it! Yelled my buddy so this morning and we played with our literacy class so we played a game when you have to have weet bix with cream on top of it also a apple and a buddy with. His hands though your arms and your buddy is to try to get the weet bix with cream on it and. Try to put it in your mouth and the apple in I think 40 seconds.




Also my funniest part was when I stuffed it into Jonathan mouth also the apple but when I. Lift it on the plate he was eating it like dog. Also what is my other funniest part was when I had a turn eating it he tried putting the cream all over my and it was a competition and there were four rounds. But I had other funny part and it was when Charles was putting the nearly the cream on Josh’s face.



And how I felt was scared because I think that Jonathan was going to put the whole thing inside my mouth and I go spue inside  the toilet. Cause the cream made it horrible with the weet bix on it also I felt a little bit sick but also it was yuck. Because the cream that tasted like water was with it mixed with apple that we had to eat after when we eat the Weet bix.   






And what was my favorite part was when Patrick had cream all over his face and he looked like clown with white phante. But it was Andrew that put all over his because they were buddy’s same as Josh when Charles. Done it to his face to and he made laugh.




Well I hope we don’t do it again because that was the worst thing I ever tasted in my life but it was. So fun playing it with other people.

Division Word Problems


Walt: solve multiplication and division problems using more than one strategy
What I learn't was divided by and I had to solve a problem and I will show you one that I did was 48 divided by 6 and it equals 8 because I did is 8x6=48 and that's how I got it.

NZ Native Animal Report

Have you seen a Tuatara before?
I am writing about a Tuatara. They are nocturnal that means that they come out at night and look for food for them to eat and it they sleep during the day.







Diet:
Tuatara are lizard-like reptiles, found only in New Zealand. developed  
spines in the crest along the neck, back and the tail and also how old it is. Is about one hundred and they they were in the world  when the dinosaurs were alive and they are still alive in New Zealand. Also what they Diet is they own eggs also insects and spiders,and frogs.


It’s Predators:
The Tuataras  predators are large birds so that means that large birds. come and hunt them to eat. If they are eaten then there will be no more tuatara in New Zealand. Also they predators is People,rats,cats and dogs also pigs have killed tuatara on the mainland and how big it can grow is sixty centimetres long.

How it behave:
Also how old it go up to is 100 because they were alive when the dinosaurs was alive that’s almost extinct from New Zealand. And how it behave is it can run very fast but they can’t run short  distances.

Holiday Highlight OR Immersion Assembly

In the the holidays I was playing rugby outside at the park with Siokita  and Lanize  and with my cousin T.J’. Whoever lost in the game had to run down the and come back with there pants down’’.But we  lost and then we me and SiokitaI had to run down with no pants on and I was embarrassed that people was looking at us but it was fun because I kept falling down.

Have you been to the Panmure pools four times in the holidays before?
In the holidays I went to the pools in Panmure with my friends from my brothers Tisa’s rugby team’’.  My friend Olivia and Jacob and T.A were there too. We played some rugby in the pools  . Also we played shark attack and I was the shark because I was the oldest one playing. After that we played some bull rush then I had to be in because I was the last one to get in the front.

Then after that we went and got an feed from the fish and chips the shop in Pt England. I had big fish to eat all by myself, I was hungry!. Then we had to go  again the next day because it was so hot outside.Then we to the pools with my friends  because they wanted us to go again. But before I went out I started to get so cold that I had goosebumps then I went and I had a shower. Then I went home the rugby world cup game Tonga vs Namibia  and Tonga it was 35 to 21.

We had a B.B.Q because my uncle Patrick was going back to Tonga and what the food we had was sausage and also chicken and it so so nice but when. He went I nearly had tears coming down before that I watched the game against Tonga vs the All blacks. It was a good game and the score was 47 to 9.   

I felt in the holidays happy because I get to watch the world cup and stay home and watching it. It was fun because we had BBQ because my uncle was going back to Tonga.

Want I had to do in class was to solve this problem and the answer 21 and how I got it so how I did was there were 24 swords and 12 pirates and 1/2 of the 12 pirates then 24-6=18 then a 1/4 of 12=3 that they gained 18+3=21.

Grass to Glass

When the milk comes out of the cow it is warm so, the milk is cooled. Then the tanker comes and puts the hose in the big silo. Then he to the milk factory. And the silo is unloaded from the tankers before it pump it up to the factory.




The milk that comes out of the cow has lots  of cream and if you do not want cream it goes to the separator to get the Milk and cream are separated. And the milk travels from the holding tank then into this machine could the separate.


When the milk comes out of the cow it has Bacteria that makes the milk bad  to drink so it goes to the pasteurising room so the Bacteria is killed by pasteurisation the milk. And this when the milk seated up and push to this tiny hole and breaking up the skin milk and cream so they are all the same size.



Finally the milk is bottled, ready for you to drink. That completes the journey from grass to glass.
